3. Figure Skate Elite (four months)
30 students per ice surface max. 1.hr session, 3days/week
An introduction to a higher level of figure skating
Privite coaching and ice surface aimed towards skaters with developing skating routines and competitive skills.
- Focusing towards skater individuality
- Physiological development of an athlete
Endurance, strength, power, flexibility, and maintaining pysical fitness
This program is suitable for skaters attaining Canadian levels 3 and up or ISI equivelent
Figure Skate Elite will be focusing on Private one on one coaching for the duration of the school.
A coach will be chosen at the skater's discression.
A private lesson will last 15min per 1.5 hr ice session @ $ rate set by specific coach.
If longer lesson is requested for a session, $ rate will be billed accordiningly
A personal lesson and billing log will be kept by coaches for each individual skater
A 10min group warm-up and cool-down will be directed by a selected coach
All skating programs will be on a continual basis with a chance to renew membership, or change program after the duration of the school is through.

Level 1 standards
Stroking: 2 exercises
FORWARD PERIMETER STROKING. The skater skates forward around the perimeter of the rink, using straight strokes along the sides and crosscuts along the ends.
BACKWARD PERIMETER STROKING. The skater skates backwards around the perimeter of the rink, using sraight strokes along the sides and cosscuts around the ends.
Jumps:
- Bunny Hop
- Waltz
- Salchow
- Flip
- Loop
Jump Combination:
Spins: (min. 2 rotations)
- Forward One-Foot Upright (or Corkscrew)
- Backward One-Foot Upright (or Corkscrew)
- Sit
- Camel
Field Movements:
- Right Forward Spiral (edge optional)
- Left Forward Spiral (edge optional)
Level 2 standards
Stroking: 4 exercises
FORWARD OUTSIDE EDGE STROKING WITH CROSSCUTS ON END. The skater skates forward outside edges down the length of the rink and forward crosscuts on the ends.
FORWARD INSIDE EDGE STROKING WITH CROSSCUTS ON END. The skater skates forward inside edges down the length of the rink and forward crosscuts on the ends.
BACKWARD OUTSIDE EDGE STROKING WITH CROSSCUTS ON END. The skater skates backward outside edges dwon the length of the rink and backward crosscuts on the end.
BACKWARD INSIDE EDGE STROKING WITH CROSSCUTS ON END. The skater skates backward inside edges down the leng of the rink and backward crosscuts on the end.

- Flip
- Lutz
- Axel or Walley
- Split
Jump Combination:
- Salchow/toe loop
- loop/loop
Spins:
- One-Foot Upright Spin (Backward)- corkscew position (min. 3 rotations)
- Flying Spin Combination (min 2 rotations in each postion)
- -2 postions
- -optional change of foot
Field Movements:
- Backward Spiral (edge optional)
Coaches will be introducing programs in the Learn to figure skate program. 1.5-2 mins. with music and use of jumps, spins and field movements learned. Coaches are responsible for music and choreography for their own group of skaters. Each individual group will have their own program and music. Even though the choreography is the same within each group, encourage skaters to develop his/her own sence of style. eg. Arm movements.
